Sanity

Connect Sanity to bring your existing content into a Mythos project. Ask Mythos to inspect the available content types, find relevant documents, and use them to shape the pages you are building.

The connection uses Sanity’s hosted MCP service and your own account. It is personal to your Mythos chats and available across your projects. It does not automatically connect the published app to Sanity or keep copied content synchronized.

Build with your content

For a content-driven site, start with the project and dataset you want to use. Then describe the page and the material it should include.

Use the articles in my Sanity project to build a publication homepage. First inspect the article fields, then show the latest published stories with their categories and authors.

Other useful prompts include:

• “Read the product documents in this dataset and design a product detail page around the fields that already exist.”
• “Check the content model for our help articles and propose a searchable help center.”
• “Find the draft for the launch announcement and suggest a clearer introduction. Show the proposed text before updating Sanity.”

Name the intended dataset when a project contains both production and test content. Tell Mythos whether drafts should be included.

Connect Sanity

1. Open Connectors on the Mythos Dashboard and select Sanity.
2. Open the connection form; if you already have a connection, select Add connection.
3. Select Connect Sanity, sign in to Sanity, and approve access.
4. Return to your project chat and identify the Sanity project and dataset you want to use.

Your Sanity role determines which projects, datasets, and actions are available. If content is missing, confirm that the connected account can access that dataset in Sanity.

Read and change content

Sanity’s tools can inspect schemas, query documents, and work with draft content. When you request a change, distinguish editing a draft from publishing it. Publishing affects the content available to your site’s readers.

Review Mythos’s approval request before a change, unless you have chosen Always allow for the connection. Sanity may charge for its AI-powered tools, such as image generation; standard content operations and AI operations can have different usage terms.

If you want the published app to load fresh content from Sanity, ask Mythos to set up that app connection separately. Your personal chat connection supplies context while building.
