Connect Linear to use issues and project plans while building in Mythos. Reference an issue directly, ask Mythos to read its requirements, and use that context to implement a feature or investigate a bug.

This is a personal chat connection. It works with the Linear account you authorize and is available across your projects. It does not create a live Linear connection for visitors to your published app.

You can also use issue data to design a status board. Say whether you want a snapshot of the current issues or a separate live integration in the finished app; connecting Linear to chat alone provides the former context.

Connect Linear

  1. From the Mythos Dashboard, open Connectors and choose Linear.
  2. Open the connection form and select Connect Linear. If you already have a connection, choose Add connection first.
  3. Sign in to the correct Linear account, select the workspace when prompted, and authorize access.
  4. Return to your project chat and give Mythos an issue identifier, issue link, or project name.

The connection uses Linear’s hosted MCP service. You do not need to generate an API key or configure a local server.

Read APP-142 and summarize its acceptance criteria. Do not update the issue yet.

Working with issues and projects

Mythos can read the issues, projects, cycles, and comments available to the account you connected. When an available tool can change Linear, you can also ask it to create or update an issue or post a comment. Review the proposed change when Mythos asks for approval.

Use the full issue identifier when several teams have similar titles. If an issue is missing, check that the connected account can open it in Linear and belongs to the intended workspace.

Uploading a local attachment to Linear is not supported by this connection. Attach the file in Linear first if the issue needs it.

To remove access from Mythos, open the saved connection in Connectors and select Disconnect. Refer to Linear’s MCP guide for the provider’s supported tools and authorization options.
