Templates give you a designed starting point when one is already close to the result you want. Browse the current gallery, preview a project, then create a copy that belongs to your Mythos account. A template is a starting point, not a locked theme. After remixing, you can change its copy, layout, colors, pages, and behavior like any other Mythos project. ## Use a template #### Browse Templates Open [Templates](https://mythos.new/templates) and choose a category or project that fits your goal. The gallery changes as new templates become available. #### Preview the project Open a template to inspect its pages and visual direction. Select **Use template** when it is a useful starting point. #### Name your copy Enter a project name, review the responsibility notice, and select **Acknowledge and remix**. Mythos creates your copy and opens it in the workspace. #### Make it yours Replace placeholder content and ask Mythos for the changes your product needs. Review each result in Preview before publishing. ## Customize with clear requests Start with the biggest differences between the template and your goal: ```text Turn this into a website for a yoga studio called Still Point. Replace all placeholder copy and use a calm earth-tone palette. ``` ```text Remove the testimonials section and add a three-tier pricing section with a booking call to action. ``` If the project needs saved data, user accounts, or file uploads, connect a [managed Supabase backend](/integrations/supabase), then ask Mythos to build the real flow. Test that a submitted record or uploaded file remains available after reloading. A template's example controls do not by themselves prove that data is being saved. ## Good to know * Your remix is independent of the gallery template. Later gallery changes do not alter your project. * Templates may include placeholder content and example interactions. Test important forms, links, permissions, and mobile layouts before publishing. * Some gallery items may be available for preview before remixing is enabled. The current page shows whether **Use template** is available. * Remixing uses credits. Check [Credits & pricing](/introduction/credits-and-usage) for the current amount instead of relying on an older guide. ## Licenses and content A template and its dependencies can carry third-party rights. Preserve the original copyright, license and permission notices when modifying, publishing or exporting the project. Removing demo branding does not authorize removing those notices. MIT permits commercial use subject to its notice requirements; it does not require a visible Mythos badge. Review the actual source license and the rights to any images, fonts or other assets before public use. See [Terms of Service](/legal/terms#ownership). ## Related * [Building and editing](/features/building-and-editing) — refine the remixed project with Mythos. * [Plan mode](/features/plan-mode) — shape a project from an original idea before building. * [Publish your site](/publishing/publish) — take the customized result live. > Learn how to turn an idea into a working app, improve it in Mythos, and publish it when it is ready.
